The data were fitted to a modified Sulzer-Wieland function

σ = (σmed/(1 - b/ν) exp{-a [ln ((ν - b)/(νmed - b))]2}

which yielded
σmed = 1.64×10-18 cm2 molecule-1, νmed = 50260 cm-1,
a = 4.91, and b = 30612 cm-1
